Synopsis Coscious Theatre February 2009
Eleven year old David Wiseman is mad about cricket but no good at it. He has all the kit but none of the skill, and he's a laughing stock at school. So when a Jamaican family move in next door and build a cricket net in the back garden, David is in seventh heaven. But this is 1960's England, and when the neighbours start to make life difficult for the new arrivals, David's family are caught in the middle, and he has to choose between fitting in and standing up for the new friends who have turned his world upside down.

When a lonely, retired schoolteacher (Montenegro) reluctantly agrees to care for the boy, they begin a journey across the countryside on which they learn valuable lessons about each other and the human spirit.
La actuación de Fernanda Montenegro, nominada para el Oscar de la mejor actriz, es la pieza central en esta aclamada película brasileña. En el bullicioso corazón de Río de Janeiro, un joven es testigo de la muerte accidental de su madre. WARNINGS FROM THE WILD
Nature seems to have given us all the warnings we need. Floods, mudslides and windstorms are all getting more frequent. Science cannot say to what extent we humans are responsible for this. But it does not have to. Indeed it would be irresponsible to wait for absolute scientific proof.
Parece que la naturaleza nos ha dado todas las advertencias que necesitamos. Inundaciones y tormentas de viento son cada vez más frecuentes. La ciencia no puede decir en qué medida los humanos son responsables de esto. Tampoco tiene que hacerlo. De hecho, sería irresponsable esperar la absoluta prueba científica.
LA VITA E’ BELLA (LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL)
Life Is Beautiful (Italian: La vita è bella) is a film which tells the story of a Jewish Italian, Guido Orefice (played by Roberto Benigni, who also directed and co-wrote the film), who must learn how to use his fertile imagination to help his son survive their internment in a Nazi concentration camp.
“La vida es bella” (Italian: La vita è bella) es un film que cuenta la historia de un judío italiano, Guido Orefice (interpretado por Roberto Benigni), que debe aprender en cómo utilizar su propia fértil imaginación por ayudar su hijo a sobrevivir su prisión en un campo de concentración nazi.

WATER
In her teens, Chuyia is married to a much older and sickly male, who shortly after the marriage, passes away. Chuyia is returned unceremoniously to her parents' house, and from there she is taken to the holy city of Banaras and left in the care of a wide assortment of widows who live at "the widows' house," shunned by the rest of the community. Is Chuyia really destined to live the rest of her life as a widow among shunned widows?
En sus adolescencias, Chuyia está casada con un hombre mucho más viejo y enfermo, que poco después de la unión, desaparece. Chuyia regresa a la casa de sus padres, y de allí la llevan a la ciudad santa de Banaras bajo el cuidado de un variado grupo de viudas que viven en la "casa de viudas" , evitado por el resto de la comunidad. ¿Chuyia se destina realmente para vivir el resto de su vida como viuda entre el grupo de "las viudas evitadas"?

LITTLE BUDDHA
Bernardo Bertolucci attempts to mix Buddhist spirituality with childhood fantasy in Little Buddha. The movie is a story of a child who could be a probable reincarnation of the Dalai Lama.
Bernardo Bertolucci intenta mezclar espiritualidad budista con fantasía de la niñez en el cine “Pequeño Buddha”. La película es una historia de un niño que podría ser una reencarnación probable del Dalai Lama.
CONSTANTINE
Hell wants him. Heaven won't take him. Earth needs him... The wager between heaven and hell is on Earth. John Constantine (Keanu) is a world-travelling, who investigates supernatural mysteries and the like, walking a thin line between evil and good. Constantine then teams up with a female police detective, Angela(Weisz), who seeks Constantine's help while investigating the suicide-like death of her twin sister.
El infierno lo quiere. Cielo no lo toma. La tierra lo necesita… La apuesta entre el cielo y el infierno está en la tierra. John Constantine (Keanu) es un viajador del mundo, que investiga misterios sobrenaturales y similares, caminando en una línea fina entre malvado y bueno. Constantina entonces hace grupo con un detective de policía de sexo femenino, Angela (Weisz), que busca la ayuda de Constantine mientras que investiga la muerte de su hermana gemela que pareció a un suicidio.
